THE NINTH WORLD CANNED DECIDUOUS  FRUIT CONFERENCE 2009

The 9th World Canned Deciduous Fruit Conference will be held in Shepparton, Victoria on March 30 and 31, 2009.  This conference will be known as CANCON09 and is being hosted by the Canned Fruit Industry Council of Australia (CFICA) and managed by Fruit Growers Victoria Limited (FGVL).
 
CFICA is the national peak industry body for the Australian Canned Fruits Industry and FGVL is the peak industry body for the apple and pear industry in Victoria.
 
The World Canned Deciduous Fruit Conference is a biennial event hosted in rotation by member countries of the World Canned Fruit Council. This will be only the second occasion it has been held in Australia. It was last held here in 1994.
 
The conference represents a unique opportunity for Australian agriculture and industry to interface with and learn from the anticipated eighty or more delegates from South America, Europe, North America and South Africa.
 
This high profile world event forum provides an excellent showcase for Australia. The conference theme is “Adapting to and Prospering from Change”.
